Targeted traits.
Anywhere. Anytime.

Agricultural threats demand easily adopted and sustainable countermeasures today — not in decades.

Our synthetic biology platform can bring targeted traits countering abiotic or biotic threats to market for growers in a fraction of the time and cost of developing new varieties.

From the lab.

01

Target Selection

Our development process begins with growers through open-innovation requests, consultations, interviews, and in-house research on problems faced by growers.

02

Discovery

Once a target has been identified and the problem validated by growers, we begin discovering possible solutions and validating their feasibility in silico and in vitro by engineering key genes or biosynthetic pathways into our proven microbial chassis or conducting bioprospecting missions to identify new microbes. We are also interested in licensing traits or microbes from academia or industry - get in touch. Here, we also begin engaging with regulatory agencies proactively.

03

Greenhouse Development

Possible solutions that are technically strong are progressed to the greenhouse stage for validation in planta.

04

Manufacturing

Once validated in vitro and in planta in the greenhouse, we begin scaling up production in preparation for solutions that are to be advanced to the field trial stage.

05

Field Trials

The most promising solutions are field trialed with partners around the world for validation under real world scenarios on target crop types.

06

Registration

Finally, once a program solution has been validated in fields and all regulatory required datasets have been created, we compile dossiers and submit for registration in target jurisdictions.

To growers.

Once registered and GTM partners have been secured, the R&D program is completed. Programs may continue to expand crop type validation, improve efficacy or formulations, and expand registered jurisdictions.
